Hi there. I just started using this and I have a small problem. I am writing a program that will run on several machines. Is it possible for programs written with the help of VBCorLib to run on machines without the dll? I tried it and it hasn't worked out for me so far. I generate an error 429 : ActiveX component Can't create object. Can anyone help?

Hello aj,
You will indeed need to distribute the VBCorLib.dll and register it as you would with any ActiveX dll you would be using in your project that isn't already on the target machine.
Along with the VBCorLib.dll file there is a VBCultures.nlp file that should go as well. You don't need to do anything with the VBCultures.nlp file except place it in the Windows folder. This file contains all of the localization information about date and time names and formatting, as well as currency formatting information.

Starting with version 2.0, the VBCultures.nlp file is contained within the resource file. Therefore, there is no additional files the VBCorLib depends on.
